The Chillingham Road Community Centre in Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne has been a real godsend for Cyclone Wing Chun with an excellent new sports hall, shower rooms, various fitness equipment and changing rooms.  We have recently received a grant which enabled us to buy  5m x 6m of interlocking jigsaw mats of competition standard (40mm thick) which allows us to practice heavier sparring, takedowns, groundwork and wrestling drills.

Early purchases for the class included hook & jab pads, Thai Pads, boxing gloves, Kick shields etc.  Next on the list is a wooden dummy, heavy bags and to extend the matted area.
