TRAINING ADVICE for Prospective and indeed current students

Training BJJ in Brazil

Training BJJ in Brazil Concentrates one aspect of a bigger picture at Cyclone Martial Arts

If you are relatively new to martial arts training or even if you are not its hard to master or even get a reasonable grounding in the many different aspects MMA training all at once and therefore I would really press home the need to concentrate on one aspect of your game at a time unless you have the time to train 4 or 5 times per week.

Kick Boxing/Boxing
If you wish to become proficient with Stand up fighting/Chinese Boxing/Boxing then train Tuesday and Thursday as core sessions and attend mondays or wednesday if you do a third session.

Mixed Martial Arts
If you want to fight MMA my advice is train with Dave and Dale twice a week and attend thursday if possible as your striking day.

Grappling-BJJ
IF you want to concentrate on Grappling come to Monday, both Classes Wednesday and if possible BJJ on friday or Judo on Saturday morning.

If you then train for 3-6 months concentrating on one aspect you can continue and push your skills there or move your focus to another aspect. This allows you time to build you skills and then re focus. Many top fighters and indeed our top students have been successful working in this way.
