The Wall Drill
This sparring drill is designed to help students develpop a strong stance under pressure. Shots are fed from the guy on the outside. The guy on the wall (actually we put a kick shield up against wall and leave his back foot on it for safety) is not allowed to move forward or take his foot off the wall forcing him to use his defence and counter punching. He may strike first but obviously this is risky as his partner can move around him.
